  • Originally from Marietta, Georgia, Dr. Pallavi Saraf completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of Colorado, where she majored Cum Laude in Integrative Physiology and earned a certificate in Neuroscience with heavy emphasis on psychology and nutrition. Together, these focal areas of study laid her foundation of understanding for how all systems of the body constantly work together in unison.

Following her undergraduate studies, Dr. Saraf attended the Medical University of South Carolina to complete her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. She served as president of the Public Health club and volunteered regularly to help provide dental care to underserved populations while pursuing her doctorate degree.

Upon graduating dental school, Dr. Saraf moved to Wilmington to work as a general dentist. It was here that she quickly noticed how many of her patients were presenting with the same issues – clenching, grinding, snoring, headaches, TMJ pain, worn down fillings, and were showing downstream effects of gum disease and the need for constant dental work. Many patients were chronically unhealthy and prescribed an assortment of medications. Dr. Saraf found it concerning how many of her patients seemed to be given little to no education of the root cause of their systemic illness or guidance on preventive measures like diet and lifestyle changes.

Dr. Saraf realized firsthand how much of the modern system of medicine operates as a business that profits on keeping patients confused and in a cycle of dependency. Rejecting that philosophy, she started digging deeper to forge a better path to care for her patients. By investing in continuing education from organizations including the International Academy of Sleep, The Breathe Institute, Nierman Practice Management, American Academy of Facial Esthetics, and Vivos, Dr. Saraf gained a more thorough understanding of how every aspect of our wellbeing is affected by healthy or unhealthy sleep. This concept hit close to home upon realizing her own family was affected by sleep apnea – particularly her younger brother, who had been misdiagnosed and medicated incorrectly for most of his life.

Dr. Saraf wholeheartedly believes that quality sleep is the key to a happy, healthy life. Her goal in founding Magnolia Sleep Solutions is to integrate her education and findings into her practice, and dedicate her career to improving her patients’ overall wellness through healthy, restful sleep.

Outside of dentistry, you can find Dr. Saraf on the beach walking her senior German shepherd, Lady. She loves to see live music, cook, and is always ready to get on the water or explore outside. She is passionate about pursuing personal growth and mental wellness through practices such as meditation, exercise, reading, and art. Dr. Saraf loves to cultivate community and is so grateful to call Wilmington her home.
